What is the course about?
Psychology is the study of human mind works and why people behave in the way they do. In Year 12 students will study at fifteen pieces of psychological research which covers a wide range of topics, for example: memory, obedience to authority, brain activity and abnormal behaviour. In Year 13 students will study the application of psychology to different areas such as health (both mental and physical) and crime.
How will I learn and be assessed?
You will learn from a variety of activities; group work, discussion, independent study, student presentations, creating visuals displays, conducting practical investigations, participating in role play. You will experience a variety of teaching styles to suit your learning preferences.
