Key Stage 3 Information Communication Technology Curriculum
Young people will use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills throughout their lives — in commerce and industry, in science and research, in entertainment and leisure pursuits — and it's a rapidly changing spectrum.
The areas to be covered will be:
Presenting data using DTP, Word processing, presentation software, spreadsheet, animation and image manipulation as well as web design through designing solutions to given tasks.
Digital literacy using online communication and keeping safe online using Virtual Learning Environment, email, social media and blogs.
Computer science using two programming languages Python and Scratch to understand key algorithms for sorting and searching, use logical data structures such as tables or arrays and write procedures. Understand simple Boolean logic and wildcards.
