DUKE OF EDINBURGH SILVER AND GOLD AWARDS

The Silver and Gold Award are open to Years 11-13 and provide students who have the drive and enthusiasm to be involved in a wide range of experiences and projects.

Volunteering:

This section of the Award involves students undertaking service that is to the aid of the local community and normally requires 6 or 12 months of commitment.

Physical:

This section asks students to be involved in any form of active pastime for between 3-18 months (depending on the level students take).

Skill:
This section allows students to develop a hobby or passion over a 3-18 months period (depending on the level)

Expedition:

This sections fosters team work, planning and commitment to a 3 or 4 day expedition.

Residential (Gold only)

This section enables students to experience different friendship groups whilst undertaking project based activities. This is completed over a 5 day period.
