ZEN WITH A PEN   Cost £5
Are you a doodler? Do you doodle during lessons? Take your doodling to a whole new level!  YOU DO NOT NEED ANY  ARTISTIC SKILL WHATSOEVER! Even if you don’t consider yourself artistic or good at drawing you can DOODLE.

Learn how to create beautiful artwork through ‘DOODLING’.  Keep an ‘art journal’:  If you like to record your thoughts, poems and stories, write quotes you hear, or lyrics to favourite songs, you can keep a journal or a diary which you can decorate with your AMAZING DOODLES.  Look at this on the web...

We will get out and about and have afternoon visits to find examples of designs that you can ‘convert’ into ‘doodles’. Guarantee: At the end of the project you will have a stunning sketchbook-diary-journal filled with beautiful art and hopefully the urge to do more ... and more...   Your friends and family will be stunned by your art work.

Jubilee Jamboree     Cost £5
As the title suggests, this exciting project is being organised with the Queen’s Jubilee in mind.  In conjunction with St Andrew’s Parish we will be putting together & burying a time capsule and promoting the parish’s new Jubilee Walk by  producing an advertising brochure. This project should appeal to creative photographers and advertising specialists who enjoy a gentle stroll! 18 places available for Year 9, 10 & 12.

Grammalogue   Cost: Free
The Grammalogue team will work with teachers to proof read, draft, edit and produce the school magazine. Appropriate photographs will be selected and edited to illustrate the selected articles. 20 places available to Year 12 students.

Know Yourself        Cost: £25
This is an opportunity for senior girls to experience health and leisure activities to help them approach  adulthood in a harmonious and balanced way. We offer a variety of sports and holistic health sessions from healthcare and grooming to diet and therapies provided at health spas. There will be time for personal  reflection on our aspirations and methodologies. We may even have the chance to try out some crafts.  30 places available to Year 10 & 12 students.

Senior Multi Sports        Cost: £30
A fun packed week, including a day on Herm playing beach games, a day cycling in Sark and a day Kayaking and coasteering.  On the remaining day and a half, we will be playing a variety of sports at school.  A sense of humour is a must and you will need to have or borrow a cycle helmet and a wetsuit.   30 places available to Yr 9, 10 & 12.  

Stress the Positive     Cost: £20
Spend the last week of the school year looking at what makes you you, what changes you might like to make and explore a range of strategies to achieve your personal goals and feel happy and empowered.  There will be various sessions by visiting speakers, practical and craft activities.  We will look at internal and external factors that have big and powerful influences on our lives including: food, colour and ways of thinking.  Did you know that red is motivating, blue spurs creativity, yellow helps to improve your memory?  You will have the opportunity to test these and other claims.  Choose this project to set you up for a great summer!  20 places available to year 10 and 12 only

Impressions of Guernsey         Cost £5
This Project is based on painting large landscapes of the Island in oils or acrylic, which will be framed by the student.  Work can be in groups or as individuals.  Frames will be made up in the CDT department. One session in the week will be making the canvas and one will be designing and learning how to make the frame.  Paintings will be based on the students’ photographs and preliminary sketches.  Work can be displayed in school and/or taken home. 
35-40  places available to year 8, 9, 10 & 12.

Volunteer for the Sports Skills Assessment Cost: £ FREE
As part of the recently launched PE in Schools Programme each participating school have been involved in a Skill Assessment.  The seven stations assess children on the key skills within the PE lessons in a fun environment.  The skill assessment aims to assess the skill development of each year 3 and 4 child.  Skills that are assessed range from striking a tennis ball to dribbling a hockey ball.  Are you interested in a career in teaching or sports or just want to have some good volunteering experience on your CV then this is the project for you. Cost—you own lunch each day and travel to location likely  to be Castel Primary and Beau Sejour.  14 places available to year 12 only

Dinghy Sailing      Cost: £30
Learn how to sail alongside trained and experienced instructors. No experience is necessary and all equipment and safety equipment is provided by the Guernsey Sailing Trust. Students who have taken part in this activity in previous years should not repeat this activity.   10 Places available to Year 9, 10 & 12.

Windsurfing        Cost: £30
Learn how to windsurf with a qualified RYA instructor. Those wishing to take part in this activity should be fit and strong and be competent swimmers. All equipment and safety equipment is provided by the Guernsey Sailing Trust.  10 places available to Year 10 & 12 students.

University Trip—North     ALL PLACES GONE
This educational and cultural tour takes in some of the UK’s top university cities. There will be a guided visit to each university followed by a tour of the city and its sights. Each evening we will round of the day with a cultural experience; the cinema, theatre or a concert.  (Students attending have already been chosen this activity).

University Trips – South Coast            POSSIBLE SPACES
Staying for 3 nights at Chichester University which we use as a base from which to visit other south coast universities – Sussex, Brighton, Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth.  Return flight, train journeys, accommodation and food all included within the price. (Students attending have already been chosen this activity).

Year 12 Work Experience & Management Shadowing     Cost : Free
You will already have identified an employer to contact and completed this work in the Spring Term with Mr Banks. 

Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Gold Awards
Students who have completed their Bronze Award or are direct entrants are eligible to take their Silver and Gold Awards.  Practice events are completed during the year and the award is taken during Project Week.  (Students attending have already been chosen this activity). 

Ardeche Adventure       POSSIBLE SPACES AVAILABLE     
This is a two-centre trip to the south of France.  First, we go to the spectacular Ardeche Gorge and then on to Narbonne Plage. A project which is always very rewarding for the students – educationally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It provides the opportunity for personal challenges with new activities and adventures, each in
outstanding surroundings; a fantastic way to finish off the school year.
