Y12 TEAM BUILDING DAY
At the Sixth Form Centre at the Guernsey Grammar School we recognise that joining the Sixth Form can be a daunting experience. With this in mind, we organise a Team Building Day early on in Year 12s’ Induction package to afford them the opportunity to make new friends and look forward to the challenges ahead. This year our Team Building Day took place at Rue Mainguy and enabled the students to participate in a number of activities which involved both physical and mental agility but was also an enjoyable and fun way to get to know their tutor group.
On the following pages are some photos of the Team Building Day, together with some comments from the students who took part.
'Peace'!
"Now friendships in the form have definitely been built and I believe will last until at least the end of school, if not forever"!
Crossing the River
"The tasks gave us a sense of team spirit and communication".
Box Stacking
"There's no better way to consolidate a bond between near strangers than to make them build a tower of crates".
The Assault Course
"The route of the assault course was demonstrated by, none other than, Mr Smith who, like the rest of us, dressed up in a powder pink jacket, hat and scarf, taking on the epic challenges of the space hoppers and cargo nets".
