Meet the Sixth Form Team
Mr Kieran James
As Director of Sixth Form I have overall responsibility for the Sixth Form Centre. I am responsible for admissions to the Sixth Form and for the academic progress and well-being of all Sixth Form students.
It is the aim of the Sixth Form to provide an environment in which all students can fulfil their academic potential and develop socially and emotionally.
In September 2005 the new Sixth Form Centre was opened and the buildings provide a modern, exceptionally pleasant and well resourced environment for staff and students alike. The Sixth Form is currently made up of approximately 500 students from every school in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, of whom over 55% were not previously at the Guernsey Grammar School. The large size of the Sixth Form enables the School to offer a wide range of post-16 courses at ‘AS’ and ‘A’ Level and within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The range of subjects means it is possible to develop programmes of study that recognise the strengths and meet the needs and aspirations of individual students.
I hope you will find the Sixth Form Centre pages informative.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or the Sixth Form Office should you require any further information.
